The Thirst Games On Social Networks
Unless you've been under a rock for the past few years you should be familiar with the term "Thirst". If you don't know the "thirst" are the actions used by people to try to become acquainted with someone they're attracted to. While the "thirst" has been around since the beginning of time, it has become more abundant in the public eye due to social networks. So abundant that now pretty much every social networking site has become a type of dating site. As long as pics can be seen and messages/comments can be sent, so site is safe from the "thirst". When most people hear the word "thirst" they automatically think "male" but there are thirsty ass females as well. In social media the thirst is not always the approacher it can also be the approachee. The thirst is a little different between males and females. Male thirst usually comes from something physical, female thirst is usually more material. Now in my opinion everybody suffers from the "thirst" but there are different degrees of thirst.
Degrees of Thirst:
Parched - this person will see somebody they are attracted to and they'll admire them from a distance. They may leave a comment or two or like a pic here and there, but you really have to be this person cup of tea for them to approach.
Dry Mouth - This person is a pic album browser, timeline/status watcher, poker, and messenger. This person will play the law of averages and will attempt to approach almost everything they like. Fair warning this person can get disrespectful if rejected but is not always common.
Severe Dehydration - This person is a social media stalker, they like or comment on every post and pic. This person doesn't have the highest standards so "ANYTHING" the like they will approach. The thirst of this person doesn't know the difference between tap water and purified. Person is usually over confident in their approach and can be so disrespectful (stephen A. voice) if rejected.
Thirsty Activity:
You can go on your twitter or facebook right now and see the thirst acts in progress as we speak. Look at a females profile that has a half naked pic and see how many followers/friends she has, then look at a female that just has face pics and see how many she has. Now unless she's a celebrity or just a flat out 10 the half naked girl will always have more friends/followers. The thirst acts that people use include, poking, messaging/im'ing, liking, dm'ing, commenting, etc. The way you can tell its the thirst because every pic/post will be liked and commented by the same person. This person is just looking for some type of interaction even something as simple as you saying "thank you" to a comment. The thirst is so real nowadays that you really can't be overly nice to people because they think you like them.
The thirst will never die on the internet because it is fueled by attention thirsty people. Now ladies if all the pics you post on site are ass shots, you half naked, or cleavage that looks like an ass on your chest, you're pretty much asking to be a victim of the thirst. Now you might actually really just like your body but understand the impression it gives off when you do it. The girl with the least amount of clothes on is always talkin' about how they always get disrespected. I'm not by any means condoning disrespect but don't dress the part if you don't want to be treated as such. You can't tell me you don't like attention because if you didn't it wouldn't be out there for the world to see. Why would a male not think about sex when he sees you bent over with half your ass cheeks hangin' out? There's nothing wrong with wanting to be sexy but you can be classy at the same time.
The thirst is very real and will not be going anywhere, but it's getting to be point where people don't know the difference between the thirst and sincerity. Every guy that tries to talk to you is not thirsty, you have to evaluate the action of the approacher, because if they are suffering from severe dehydration you will definitely know it. If you need to boost your ego by thinking everybody is thirsty, that's on you, but I guarantee you will miss out on something you where probably looking for.
